Hyderabad FC defeated Bengaluru FC 2-1 in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 match at the GMC Athletic Stadium, Bambolim on Friday.
The highlight of today’s match was that Sunil Chhetri netted his historic 50th goal and became the ISL’s leading scorer.
For Hyderabad FC, Javier Siverio in 16’ and Joao Victor in 30’ scored the goals.
With the win, Hyderabad FC has extended their lead at the top of the table with 29 points from 16 games. Bengaluru FC remained third on 23 points, two behind Jamshedpur FC, who has a game in hand.
Joao Victor won the Hero of the Match Award.
In the next match, ATK Mohun Bagan will lock horn with NorthEast United FC. Meanwhile, SC East Bengal will next face Kerala Blasters FC at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Monday, February 14.
