Hyderabad FC defeated NorthEast United FC 5-1 win over in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 at the Athletic Stadium in Bambolim on Monday.
For Hyderabad FC Chinglensana Singh (12′) Bartholomew Ogbeche (27′, 78′) sunk one of his former clubs, Aniket Jadhav (90′) and Javier Siverio (90+3′) scored the goals. Laldanmawia Ralte (43′), scored for the Highlanders.
The score sheet indicates that Hyderabad FC dominated the proceedings but NorthEast United FC came out with commitment in the second half with 1-2 score line against them. They created many chances but could not get the final touch. However, Ogbeche’s 78′ goal changed the faith of the match.
Hyderabad FC with 10 points moved to second place. NorthEast United FC faced their fourth defeat in six games, leaving them 10th on the table with just 4 points.
Asish Rai won the Hero of the Match Award.
Next Odisha FC take on Jamshedpur FC on Tuesday December 14. Meanwhile, SC East Bengal will next face NorthEast United FC on Friday.
