India defeated Bangladesh 1-0 in Group A match of SAFF U17 Championship 2024 at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, on Friday.
Brahmacharimayum Sumit Sharma scored the only goal if the match in 90+1′.
India will next face Maldives on September 24.
India is the most successful nation to win this title for 5 times – 2013, 2023 (U16), 2017, 2019 (U15) and 2023 (U17). Finished Runners-up in 2011 & 2015 (U15). India only in 2018 (U15) failed to make the final.
