India after a disappointing loss to host Bangladesh, bounced back strongly to defeat Bhutan 9-0 in SAFF U17 Women’s Championship at BSSS Mostafa Kamal Stadium, Dhaka on Sunday.
For India, Shilji scored five goals in 12′, 62′, 69′, 76′, 79′, while Sibani scored a brace in 42′, 61′, Menaka in 3′ and Thoibisana in 56′ scored a goal each.
The win put the Young Tigresses to second place in League table. Both India and host Bangladesh now have 6 points from 3 matches but India is at second place with a +11 GD. Russia is leading with all win record.
India will next face Russia in their last match on Tuesday.
