India defeated Brunei Darussalam 6-0, but suffer heart-break exit from AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers at the Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday.

The Blue Colts finished with six points from their three matches in Group H, but had to exit after Qatar defeated Bahrain 2-1, having come back from a goal down to score two injury-time goals.

The four best second-placed teams (from 11 groups) also qualified, but India finished the campaign at number five amongst the group runners-up.

For India, Vibin Mohanan (5’, 7’, 62’) scored three goals, Mohammed Aimen (87’, 90+7’) scored two while Ayush Chhetri (41’) scored one goal.

Earlier, India defeated Bahrain 2-0, but lost to Qatar 2-1.
