India defeated Maldives 3-0 in SAFF U17 championship to progress to semi-finals, in the second and final Group A match at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu on Tuesday.
For India, Hemneichung Lunkim scored a brace in 74’ and in 89’ while Samson Ahongshangbam scored the other goal in 14’.
Earlier, India defeated Bangladesh 1-0. India emerged the group A winner with six points, while Bangladesh made the last four from this group as the runners-up.
