India defeated Maldives 6-0 in SAFF U17 Championship 2025 at the Racecourse International Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Tuesday.
For the Blue Colts, Dallalmuon Gangte (12′, 68′(p)) scored a brace while, Hrishikesh Charan Manavathi (29′), Kamgouhao Doungel (49′), Wangkheirakpam Gunleiba (58′) and Aazim Parveez Najar (86′) scored a goal each.
India will next face Bhutan on September 19 and Pakistan on September 22.
India have won the title six times – 2013, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, finished runners-up twice in 2011, 2015, finished third once in 2018.
