India defeated Nepal 4-0 to progress to semi-final of SAFF U19 Championship at the Golden Jubilee Stadium, on Tuesday. With this win India topped Group B. Earlier, Blue Colts defeated Sri Lanka 8-0.

India will face Maldives in semi-final on Friday. In the other semi-final, Bangladesh will face Nepal.

For India, Rohen Singh scored a brace in 28’ and in 76’, while Omang Dodum in 29’ and Danny Meitei in 84’ scored one goal each.

This is the third edition of U19 tournament. India won the 2023 edition defeating Pakistan in final at Nepal. In 2015 inaugural edition, host Nepal defeated India on penalties in final.
