India defeated Nepal 5-0 to seal SAFF U17 Women’s Championship 2025 Title at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu on Friday.

The victory lifted India to 15 points from five matches, an unassailable lead at the top of the table. Second-placed Bangladesh have 10 points.

Earlier, India defeated Nepal 7-0, Bangladesh 2-0, Bhutan 8-0 and 5-0, Nepal 5-0. India now have scored 27 goals without conceding any.

India will next face Bangladesh on August 31.

For Young Tigresses, Pearl Fernandes (15’, 43’) and Divyani Linda (79’, 90+2’) both scored a brace each. Nira Chanu Longjam (5′) also scored the other goal.

This is the third time India won the title. Earlier they won in 2018 & 2019. They finished runners-up in 2017 & 2024 while third in 2023, India skipped the tournament in 2022.

Bangladesh had won twice in 2017 & 2024, while Nepal won in 2022 and Russia in 2023.
