India posted a convincing 4-0 win against Nepal to win the SAFF U17 Championship title on Wednesday for fourth time.
Boby Singh (18′), Korou Singh (38′), Vanlalpeka Guite (63′) and Aman (90+4′) scored the goals for the Blue Colts as Nepal, which had beaten India earlier in the group stages 3-1, had no answer to India’s dominance on the pitch.
India captain Vanlalpeka Guite was named the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament, while goalkeeper Sahil won the Best Goalkeeper awards.
Earlier, India has won the tournament three times – 2013, 2017 and 2019. Finished Runners-Up twice in 2011 and 2015. In 2018 India finished third.
