India defeated Pakistan 3-0 to win 2023 Men’s U19 SAFF Championships at Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu on Saturday.

For the Blue Colts. Manglenthang Kipgen scored a brace in 64′ and in 85′ while Gwgwmsar Goyary scored the other goal in 90+5.

This is the third title for India. Earlier, India won in 2019 (U18 format), 2022 (U20 format). India finished runners-up in 2015 (U19 format) and finished third in 2017 (U18 format).

In 2023, India won SAFF U16, U19 Championships, along with the seniors wining the SAFF Championships.

India: Lionel Daryl Rymmei, Ishaan Shishodia, Ricky Meetei Haobam, Manabir Basumatary (Surajkumar Singh Ngangbam 46th minute), Raja Harijan, Gwgwmsar Goyary, Naoba Meitei Pangambam (Kelvin Singh Taorem 81st minute), Sahil Khurshid, A Siba Prasad, Ebindas Yesudasan (Manglenthang Kipgen 46th minute), Thomas Kanamoottil Cherian.
