India eliminated from AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers on goal difference after 1-1 draw against Vietnam

Indian Women’s U20 Team played 1-1 draw with hosts Vietnam in their final Group F game of the 2024 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers Round 1 at Viet Tri Stadium in Viet Tri City, Vietnam on Saturday. Both teams finished on seven points from three matches, however India was eliminated due to goal difference. India ended with a goal difference of +13; Vietnam had +14.

Earlier, India defeated Singapore 7-0 and Indonesia 6-0. Meanwhile Vietnam defeated Indonesia 3-0 and Singapore 11-0.

For India, Babina Devi scored in 12′ while Tran Nhat Lan equalized for hosts in 45′ + 2.

India U20 Women XI: Anshika, Purnima Kumari, Hemam Shilky Devi, Astam Oraon, Lisham Babina Devi, Kajol Dsouza, Anita Kumari (Mousumi Murmu 73′), Neha (Sumati Kumari 73′), Shubhangi Singh, Nitu Linda, Apurna Narzary.
