India finished Runners-Up in SAFF U16 Women’s Championship 2024 at Nepal after losing to Bangladesh 3-2 in shootout.

The match ended 1-1 in regulation time. The Young Tigresses took early lead through Anushka Kumari in 4′. Despite controlling the match throughout, Shveta Rani’s OG in 70′ brought Bangladesh back into the match.

During shootout, Bangladesh goalkeeper Yearzan Begum saved three shots which cost India the title.

Anuskha Kumari with 6 goals was awarded as the top scorer of the tournament.
