India lost 1-0 to Kosovo in their final match of the Turkish Women’s Cup 2024 football tournament to finish runners-up at the Gold City Sports Complex in Alanya, Turkey, on Tuesday.

It was the Blue Tigresses’ best performance in the Turkish Women’s Cup in three appearances.

India needed to win the match to grab theit first ever title outside SAFF Region lost to an injury time goal.

Ereleta Memeti scored the goal for Kosovo.

Kosovo, with three victories and nine points, won the four-national invitational football tournament while India finished runners-up with six points. This was India’s best performance in three appearances at the competition.

Earlier, India defeated Estonia 4-3 and Hong Kong China 2-0.

Manisha Kalyan was adjudged Best Midfielder of the tournament.
