India lost to Bangladesh 3-4 on penalties in Semi-finals of SAFF U20 Championship 2024 after regulation time ended in a 1-1 at the ANFA Complex in Lalitpur, Nepal, on Monday.

Asadul Islam Sakib gave Bangladesh the lead in 36′, while Ricky Meetei Haobam equalized for India in 75′.

In tiebreaker, Pramveer, Gwgwmsar Goyary and Manjot Singh Dhami scored for India, while Thanglalsoun Gangte and Akash Tirkey’s shot was saved by Bangladesh goalkeeper. Mohammed Pias Ahmed Nova, Moinul Islam Moin, Shakil Ahad Topu, and Ashraful Haque Asif made no mistake in their first four attempts to take Bangladesh to the final.

Bangladesh will meet host Nepal in final.
