India lost to Bangladesh 3-1 to finish runners-up and progress to the semifinals of SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 at the Dasharath Stadium on Wednesday.

Earlier, India defeated Pakistan 5-2, meanwhile Bangladesh topped Group A with four points.

For Bangladesh Tohura Khatun (29’, 42’) scored a brace while Afeida Khandaker (18’) scored one, while for India, Bala Devi (44’) pulled back one.

This was the 12th time the two teams met in the international arena. Blue Tigresses won nine times, once it was drawn but the two defeats came in back-to-back matches now.
