India lost to China PR 2-1 in the AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers at Dalian Suoyuwan Stadium.

India did a commendable job and fought neck to neck with China. However, Tao Qianglong in 68’ gave host the lead in 68′. An OG by Hu Hetao in 92′ brought India back to the match. Jiteshwor Singh’s free-kick created a chaotic scene while Narender Gehlot took a low shot from the chaos and the ball hit China’s Hu Hetao before going in.

However, Naibijiang Mohemati scored in 96′ to give host the win.

Maldives had already withdrawal from the tournament, hence India will face UAE on Tuesday, September 12 on their final group match.
