India lost to Iran 3-0 in CAFA Nations Cup 2025 at the Hisor Central Stadium in Hisor, Tajikistan, on Monday.
The Blue Tigers ranked 133rd in FIFA Ranking hold Iran, ranked 20th to 0-0 in first half. However, goals from Amirhossein Hosseinzadeh in 60’, Ali Alipour in 89’ and Mehdi Taremi 90+6 gave defending champions Iran the three points.
Earlier, India defeated host Tajikistan 2-1 in opening match and will next face Afghanistan on September 4.
