India lost to Korea Republic 0-8 in AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers Round 2 at the charming Buriram City Stadium.

Though India lost the match but the girls fought well against one of the best team of the tournament.

India will next face Iran and host Thailand.

Earlier, In April, the Indian women’s U17 team topped their Round 1 group and made it to Round 2 of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers for the first time. The Young Tigresses defeated hosts Kyrgyz Republic and Myanmar and finished with six points.

India: Khushi Kumari (Khambi Chanu Sarangthem 62’), Vikshit Bara, Thoibisana Chanu Toijam, Sonibia Devi Irom, Shivani Toppo, Sibani Devi Nongmeikapam, Lalita Boypai, Menaka Devi Lourembam, Shilji Shaji, Sulanjana Raul (Heena Khatun 87’) and Pooja (Khushbu Saroj 87’).
