India lost to Nepal 1-3 in SAFF U17 Championship at Colombo

The India U17 National Team lost their second match in Group B against Nepal by 1-3 in SAFF U17 Championship at the Racecourse International Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Friday.

Danny Meitei put India in the lead in the 25’. However, Saroj Darlami equalized for Nepal in first half. Unesh Budathoki (49’), and Subash Bam (68’) gave Nepal the valuable three points which made then Group Champion in Group B. India qualified in semi-finals as second team and will face Bangladesh on September 12.

India U17: Sahil (GK), Vanlalpeka Guite, Ricky Meetei, Manjot Singh Dhami, Balkaran Singh (Malemngamba Singh 19’, Aman 87’), Gurnaj Singh Grewal, Korou Singh (Lalpekhlua 72’), Thanglalsoun Gangte, Boby Singh (Faizan Waheed 72’), Surajkumar Singh, Danny Meetei (Ngarin Shaiza 72’).
