India played a goalless draw with Afghanistan in their last Group B match at the Hisor Central Stadium in Hisor, Tajikistan, on Thursday, and after IR Iran and Tajikistan match ended in a 2-2 draw, the Blue Tigers qualifies for third place Playoff in CAFA Nations Cup 2025.

India finished at second place behind Iran with four points. Hosts Tajikistan also had four points, but India finished ahead of Tajikistan by virtue of a better head-to-head record after beating them 2-1 in the first match.

India will face either Oman or Uzbekistan on September 8.

Earlier, India defeated host Tajikistan 2-1 in opening match while lost to Iran by 0-3.
