India qualified for AFC U17 Asian Cup 2023 despite losing to host Saudi Arabia by 1-2 in the final qualification match at the Prince Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, on Sunday.
The Blue Colts secured their qualification to the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2023 by virtue of being one of the six best second-placed teams across the 10 groups of the qualifying tournament. Earlier in the competition, India defeated Maldives (5-0), Kuwait (3-0) and Myanmar (4-1).
For Saudi Arabia, Talal Haji scored a brace in 22′ and 58′(p) while for India, Gangte scored back one in injury time.
