India U17 boys started their 2022 SAFF U17 Championship campaign with a comfortable 3-0 victory against Bhutan at the Racecourse International Stadium in Colombo on Monday.
For India, Thanglalsoun Gangte in 10’ and 16’ scored a brace while Vanlalpeka Guite in 48’ scored the third goal.
India will next face Nepal on September 09.
India has won the tournament three times – 2013, 2017 and 2019. Finished Runners-Up twice in 2011 and 2015. In 2018 India finished third.
