India U17 Team defeated Bhutan U19 Team 8-0 in SAFF U19 Women’s Championship 2026 at the Pokhara Rangasala Stadium on Wednesday.

Pearl Fernandes (16’, 39’, 41’) scored a first-half hat-trick, Pritika Barman (25’, 90’) scored a brace while Alisha Lyngdoh (6’), Abhista Basnett (10’), and Divyani Linda (17’) scored a goal each for Young Tigresses.

With this win India moves to second place in points table with six points. India provisionally move to final, but will have to wait for Nepal vs Bangladesh match. If Nepal win on big margin, then India will be out or any other result will take India in final.

Earlier, India defeated Nepal U19 1-0, lost to Bangladesh U19 0-2.

The India U17s, are participating in the SAFF U19 Women’s Championship, a higher age-group tournament, as part of their preparation for the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup.
