India U17 Women defeated Myanmar to qualify for AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers Round 2

India U17 Women’s team defeated Myanmar 2-1 in AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers Round 1 tie on Friday at Kyrgyz Republic.

With this victory, India qualified from Group F for Round 2 of the tournament scheduled for September later this year. In the three-team group, India won both their matches against the Kyrgyz Republic and Myanmar and finished with six points. 

For India, Sulanjana in 26′, Pooja in 33′ scored the goals, while for Myanmar Ya Min Phyu pulled one back in 75′.

Starting XI: Anisha Oraon (GK), Thoi Thoi, Thoibisana Chanu, Heena Khatun, Viksit Bara, Lalitha Boypai, Sibani Devi, Menaka Devi, Pooja, Sulanjana Raul (Remi Thokchom 82’) (Cindy Colney 90+5’), Sonibia Devi (Shivani Toppo 65’).
