Indian Women’s Team finished Runners-up in 2026 SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship at the Nonthaburi Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, which was played from 13 to 25 January 2026. The tournament was played on a round robin format. India finished Runners-up collecting 12 points with four wins and two losses. Bangladesh won the inaugural edition.
Earlier, India participated in 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup qualification at Yogyakarta, Indonesia. India finished at bottom, losing to Hong Kong 0-6, Indonesia 0-6, Kyrgyzstan 3-4. Hong Kong match was India’s debut match at International level which India played on 15 January 2026. Drishti Pant was India’s first goal scorer which she scored against Kyrgyzstan.
In SAFF Championship, India defeated Maldives 11-1. Mithila Ramani 4′, Ritika Singh 6′, 17′, Khushbu Saroj 17′, 22′, 24′, 26′, Sonali Mondal 17′, 37′, Nishka Parkash 33′, 34′ scored the goals for India.
In second match, India lost to eventual champion Bangladesh 1-3. Arya More scored the only goal for India in 37′.
In third match, India defeated Nepal 8-1. Diti Kanungo 4′, 4′, 13′, 15′, Nishka Parkash 8′, Ritika Singh 22′, 37′, Khushbu Saroj 24′ scored the goals for India.
In fourth match, India staged a sensational comeback to defeat Pakistan 5-3. Arya More 14’, Ritika Singh 28’, Khushbu Saroj 29’, Diti Kanungo 37’, 40’ scored the goals.
In fifth match, India lost to Maldives 1-2. Khushbu Saroj scored India’s goal in 36′.
In sixth match, India defeated Sri Lanka 5-2. Sonali Mondal 6’, 7’, 16’, Mithila Ramani 9’, Pooja Gupta 36’ scored the goals for India.
