Inter Milan won the Coppa Italia after an extra-time double from Croatian forward Ivan Perisic earned his side a 4-2 victory over Juventus in Wednesday’s final, ensuring Juventus will finish the season trophyless.
For Juventus, Alex sandro scored in 50′ and Dusan Vlahovic scored in 52′. For Inter Milan, Nicolo Barella scored in 6′, Calhanoglu scored from penalty in 80′ while Ivan Perisic scored a brace in 99′ through penalty and in 102′.
Inter Milan have won their eighth Coppa Italia title. This is their first Coppa Italia since 2010-11, overtaking Lazio (7). Juventus (14) and Roma (9) have won more honors. After a 10-year trophy drought, Inter Milan have now won all three Italian domestic trophies in the last one year. They had won the Serie A in 2020-21 and Supercoppa Italiana in 2021 and now Coppa Italia in 2022. In current season, they are two points behind city rivals AC Milan in Serie A.
