Iran struck two late goals in the dying moments of added time to earn an incredible 2-0 win over 10-man Wales in its Group B match of 2022 FIFA World Cup at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Friday.
Wales was down to 10 men in 86′ of the match when Hennessy was shown Red Card for a high challenge on Mehdi Taremi.
Gareth Bale made his 110th appearance for Wales, the most all-time for the national team.
For Iran, Rouzbeh Cheshmi scored in the eighth minute of stoppage time while Ramin Rezaeian added a second goal moments later.
