ISL 2020-21 Idrissa Sylla saves day for NorthEast United FC against ATK Mohun Bagan in Second Semifinal

NorthEast United FC with a stoppage time goal played a 1-1 draw against ATK Mohun Bagan in the First Leg Second Semifinal match of 2020-21 Indian Super League (ISL) match at GMC Stadium, Bambolim.

ATK Mohun Bagan would feel unlucky as they were just two minutes away from the match when they conceded the goal. The Mariners had full control of the match throughout. In the first half David Williams in 34’ gave ATK Mohun Bagan the lead. They played the second half in same pace with full control of the match. Their tight defense never let Highlanders to get through. However, substitute Idrissa Sylla in the stoppage time equalized for NorthEast United FC to stay alive.

The DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award was taken by Roy Krishna. Gurjinder Kumar bagged the Hero of the Match Award.

Next on 8th March Mumbai City FC will take on FC Goa in Semi-Final 1 – 2nd Leg. The Match is also evenly poised at 2-2.
