Jamshedpur FC edged passed Odisha FC by a solitary goal in the 79th match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 at GMC Stadium, Bambolim.
This is the first win for Red Miners after five matches. The game is a tale of two halves. Jamshedpur FC dominated the first half and took the lead in 41’ through Mobashir Rahman. Kalinga Warriors on the other hand controlled the game in the second half through Diego Mauricio and Jerry Mawihmingthanga, but with poor finish at the Jamshedpur box let them down.
The win lifted Jamshedpur FC to sixth place with 18 points and three points within the top four. Odisha FC on the other hand remained at the bottom of the table.
DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award and the Hero of the Match Award were both bagged by Seiminlen Doungel.
In the next match Kolkata Giants SC East Bengal will lock horn with Bengaluru FC.
ATK Mohun Bagan will lock horn with Odisha FC on 6
th February at GMC Stadium, Bambolim.
