NorthEast United FC defeated Kerala Blasters FC 2-0 in the 107th Match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 at Tilak Maidan Stadium to qualify as the third team for playoff.

Though The Highlanders were clearly the better side but, Kerala Blasters did have their chances. However the Highlanders’ defense denied the Blasters from scoring. Suhair Vadakkepeedika (34’) and Lalengmawia (45’) scored the goals for NorthEast United FC. Overall it has been a remarkable comeback for NorthEast United FC as they were standing on seventh spot a month ago.

NorthEast United finished third with 33 points while Kerala Blasters ended their campaign at tenth place with 17 points.

DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award was awarded to Khassa Camara while Lalengmawia bagged the Hero of the Match Award.

In the next game SC East Bengal will face Odisha FC.

Meanwhile ATK Mohun Bagan will face Mumbai City FC in the last league match on Sunday.
