Jamshedpur FC came from behind to beat East Bengal FC 2-1 in Hero ISL 2022-23 in Kolkata

Jamshedpur FC recovered from a 1-0 deficit to stun East Bengal FC 2-1 in match 72 of Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 played at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata on Friday.

East Bengal took the lead as Brazilian striker Cleiton Silva scored in 12′, while Jamshedpur struck through substitute Harry Sawyer in 61′ and Ritwik Das in 85′ to turn the match in its favour.

It was the second win for Jamshedpur FC in 14 matches as it tallied nine points to continue in the 10th spot, while East Bengal remained eighth with 12 points from 13 games.

Ritwik Das won the Hero of the Match Award.

Next on Saturday, Bengaluru FC will take on Odisha FC, while ATK Mohun Bagan will take on Mumbai City FC.
