Jamshedpur FC defeated Chennaiyin FC 4-1 to move to second place in Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 tie at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Sunday.

Ritwik Das (23’), Boris Singh (33’) and Daniel Chima Chukwu (40’) got on the scoresheet before Deepak Devrani scored an own goal (46’) as Jamshedpur made it three wins on the spin to rack up 31 points from 16 matches. For CFC, Nerijus Valskis (62’) scored a consolation goal against his former side.

JFC are one point behind league leaders Hyderabad FC with a game in hand. Chennaiyin FC are eighth in the table with 20 points from 17 matches and are all but out of a semifinal berth.

Mobashir Rahman won the Hero of the Match award.

In the next match, Bengaluru FC will take on Odisha FC. Meanwhile, SC East Bengal will next play against Mumbai City FC at the PJN Stadium on Tuesday, February 22.
