Kerala Blasters FC defeated Mumbai City FC 3-1 to sharpen their semi-final chances in Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 clash at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Wednesday.
For Kerala Blasters FC, Alvaro Vazquez (45’ P, 60’) scored a brace while Sahal Abdul Samad (19’) scored one goal. For Mumbai City FC, Diego Mauricio (71’) scored one back from Penalty.
KBFC are now in fourth spot having 33 points from 19 games while MCFC dropped to fifth place with 31 points from 19 matches.
KBFC takes on FC Goa in their final fixture while MCFC will play Hyderabad FC in their final league game.
Lalthathanga Khawlhring won the Hero of the Match Award.
In the next match, Chennaiyin FC will lock horn with ATK Mohun Bagan.
