Ten-man Kerala Blasters FC moved to second spot in the points table with a spirited 2-1 win over NorthEast United FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Friday.

For Kerala Blasters FC, Pereyra Díaz in 62’ and Alvaro Vazquez in 82’ scored the goals while for NorthEast United FC Mohamed Irshad scored a goal deep into injury time. In the 70′ KBFC were a man down with midfielder Ayush Adhikari being given the marching orders for a second yellow card.

NorthEast United FC remained on 10 points from 16 games. Kerala Blasters FC now have 23 points from 13 outings.

Alvaro Vazquez won the Hero of the Match award

In the next match, Bengaluru FC takes on Jamshedpur FC while SC East Bengal will face Odisha FC on February 07, Monday at Tilak Maidan Stadium.
