Kerala Blasters FC defeated SC East Bengal 1-0 in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Monday.

Enes Sipovic (49’) scored the winner for the Kerala Blasters FC with a towering header.

KBFC reached to third position from sixth, as for the Red and Gold Brigade, the winless run extends to five matches.

Kerala Blasters FC faces ATK Mohun Bagan in their next outing at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Saturday while SC East Bengal plays reigning ISL champions Mumbai City FC at the PJN Stadium on Tuesday after a week’s gap.

Lalthathanga Khawlhring won the Hero of the Match Award.

In the next match, FC Goa will lock horn with ATK Mohun Bagan.
