Kerala Blasters pip Jamshedpur FC 2-1 over two legs to book final in ISL 2021-22

Kerala Blasters FC played a 1-1 draw with Jamshedpur FC to pip the League Shield winners 2-1 on aggregate and qualify for their first final since 2016, in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 at the Tilak Maidan Stadium here on Tuesday.

Adrian Luna (18’) opened the scoring for KBFC with a stunning goal, while Pronay Halder (50’) pulled one back for the Red Miners who needed one more goal to take the game to extra time, but another solid performance by the Kerala backline ensured they held firm and confirm a place in the summit clash.

In the first leg, Sahal Abdul Samad scored the only goal in a 1-0 win for KBFC who made it to their third Hero ISL final. They were the finalists in the inaugural 2014 edition as well.

Adrian Luna won the Hero of the Match Award.

Next on 16th March Hyderabad FC and ATK Mohun Bagan will lock horn for the second leg of the second semi-final.
