India and Kuwait played a 1-1 draw in the final Group A clash of the SAFF Championship 2023 on Tuesday at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.

Sunil Chhetri gave India the lead in 45+2′, however an OG in injury time by Anwal Ali helped Kuwait to secure a point.

India and Kuwait both finished on seven points, but Kuwait finished at Top from Group A on better goal difference.

Sunil Chhetri scored his 92nd international goal in his 140th international and his 23rd in the SAFF Championship to equal the record of Maldives’ Ali Ashfaq.
