League Shield winner Mumbai City FC suffered its first loss of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 season after going down 2-1 against Bengaluru FC on Wednesday at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru.

Sunil Chhetri (57′) and Javier Hernandez (70′) got on the scoresheet for Bengaluru, while Mourtada Fall scored back one in 77′ for Mumbai City FC.

The win helped Bengaluru FC to climb to fourth place with 31 points.

Javier Hernandez won the Hero of the Match Award.

Next, FC Goa will be facing Chennaiyin FC on Thursday, 16th February.
