Legendary footballer Bhaichung Bhutia, who has devoted his career for East Bengal Club, expressed his concern about the current scenario of the Red & Gold Club and showed his support with East Bengal fans and hoped that the ongoing tussle between the club and Shree Cement get solve soon.
Red & Gold fans organized a peaceful protest against the club officials on 21st July, Wednesday afternoon. East Bengal fans were denied to get in front of the club gate by the officials’ hired muscles, hence they staged a massive protest at the Leslie Claudis street. The protest was happening in a peaceful manner, however, the club officials’ hired muscles started creating problem and Police started lathi charging brutally on East Bengal fans.
On social media he extended his support for the East Bengal fans where he said, “I stand with East Bengal fans. It’s sad to see what is happening to my club East Bengal. The club belongs to the fans and their Legacy. I hope things are resolved soon and the club is back to its Glory days.”
