Manchester United may invest on East Bengal

According to various sources, Premier League Club, Manchester United may invest on East Bengal. Sourav Ganguly, BCCI President, has made a proposal to Manchester United to invest in East Bengal as per rumour.

Earlier, in 2020 when East Bengal took entry to Indian Super League, Manchester United tour director Christoffer Komenalso expressed happiness and also wished East Bengal good luck for “New Journey” in ISL.

Avram Glazer, who hold the majority ownership of Manchester United Club, had earlier expressed interest in buying a team in Indian Premier League. Indian Super League is gaining popularity. Clubs like Manchester City and Watford FC had already invested on ISL Clubs.

Manchester United have huge popularity in India. So it can be possible that to strengthen their popularity, the most successful club of England may invest on East Bengal, who are also searching for investor to play the Indian Super League.
