Last year Runners-up, Mohammedan SC, became the first team to make it through to the quarter-finals of the Durand Cup 2022, defeating the Indian Air Force by 2-0 at Kishore Bharati Krirangan on Friday.
French defender Ousmane Cardinal Ndiaye scored the first goal in 33’ while substitute Rahul Paswan scored the second goal in 87’. Mohammedan SC now have three wins from three games and their last match outcome against Bengaluru FC will not affect their quarterfinal qualification.
