Mumbai City FC defeated Chennaiyin FC 2-1 to get back to the top of the table in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 match at Mumbai Football Arena, Mumbai. Mumbai City FC record their sixth consecutive win now.

Petar Sliskovic gave Chennaiyin FC the lead in 34′ while Lallianzuala Chhangte equalized for Mumbai City FC in 38′, Greg Stewart then gave Mumbai City the lead in 57′.

Mumbai City FC moved to top of the league table with 27 points from 11 matches. Yesterday, Hyderabad FC climbed to top of the table after their win against Bengaluru FC. However, Mumbai City FC today regained their top position with the win. Meanwhile Chennaiyin FC stayed at seventh place with 14 points from 11 matches.

Lallianzuala Chhangte won the Hero of the Match award.
