Greg Stewart scored a brilliant hat-trick as Mumbai City FC defeated Chennaiyin FC 5-3 in extra time in a thrilling quarter-final to storm into the semi-finals of the Durand Cup football tournament here on Sunday.
Stewart scored in the 40’, 100’ and 118’ while Lallianzuala Chhangte got a brace in the 78’ and 94’ for Mumbai City FC at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan.
Croatian striker Petar Sliskovic (59’), Jockson Dhas (89’) and Rahim Ali (112’) scored for Chennaiyin FC.
Mumbai City FC face Mohammedan Sporting in the first semi-final at the same venue on Wednesday.
