Mumbai City FC defeated SC East Bengal by 1-0 in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 at the PJN Stadium in Fatorda on Tuesday.
With this win the defending champions went back into contention for a semi-final spot. A solitary goal by Bipin Singh (51’) was the difference, whose individual brilliance helped MCFC climb up to fourth place with 28 points.
Bipin Singh won the Hero of the Match Award.
MCFC take the field against FC Goa in their next match at the Athletic Stadium on Saturday while SC East Bengal face NorthEast United FC at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Monday.
In the next match on February 23, Hyderabad FC will take on Kerala Blasters FC.
