A dominant performance shown by the defending Champions Mumbai City FC as they defeated ATK Mohun Bagan 5-1 in a repeat of last season’s final in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Wednesday.
Vikram Pratap Singh (4′, 25′), Igor Angulo (38′), Mourtada Fall (47′), Bipin Singh (52′) scored for Mumbai City FC. David Williams (60′) scored a consolation for ATK Mohun Bagan.
The wave of attacks from Mumbai City FC made the ATKMB defense clueless. ATKMB’s sorry state of affairs was highlighted by their zero shots on target in the first half.
Mumbai City FC won the Club Award while Vikram Singh, won the Hero of the Match Award.
In next match, Jamshedpur FC will be facing Hyderabad FC. SC East Bengal will face Chennaiyin FC on December 03 at Tilak Maidan Stadium.
