Netherlands defeated Senegal 2-0 in Group A match of FIFA World Cup 2022 at Al Thumama Stadium, Qatar.
Netherlands goalkeeper Andries Noppert pulled off three key saves to deny the African champion from scoring. Senegal played attacking football, but was unable to score the all-important goal. While for Netherlands, Cody Gakpo in 84′ gave Netherlands the much required lead and in injury time Davy Klaassen took the match away from the African side with scoring the second goal for the Dutch.
