North East United FC came from behind to play a 2-2 draw with FC Goa in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati on Sunday.

Three goals were scored from penalties. For the first time FC Goa has dropped points from the winning position in this season. FC Goa was leading two times in the game but NorthEast United FC equalized both times with a penalty.

Eduardo Bedia Pelaez gave FC Goa the lead in 31′, while Wilmar Gil equalized in 45′ through penalty. Iker Guarrotxena again gave FC Goa the lead in 65′ through penalty while Wilmar Gil again equalized through penalty in 71′.

FC Goa remained on 6th place with 20 points from 14 games while NorthEast United FC remained at bottom with 4 points from 14 matches.

Wilmar Gil won the Hero of the Match Award.

Next on Wednesday, 18 January, Jamshedpur FC will take on Bengaluru FC.
