NorthEast United FC defeated ATK Mohun Bagan 1-0 to register their first win in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 match at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati.

Wilmar Jordan scored the all-important goal in 69′ of the match.

NorthEast United FC looked a different team from the first minute of the match as they showed character and created chances at regular intervals.

Despite NorthEast United FC’s first win, ISL table’s standing remained unchanged with ATKMB remained at third place with 20 points from 11 matches while NorthEast United FC remained at 11th place with 3 points.

Wilmar Jordan won the Hero of the Match Award.

Next on Monday, 26th December, Kerala Blasters FC will face Odisha FC.
