Northeast United FC defeated Chennaiyin FC 3-0 to seal playoff spot in Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Monday.
For NorthEast United FC, Nestor Albiach in 7’, Jithin MS in 26’ and Alaaeddine Ajaraie in 38’ scored the goals.
With this win, NorthEast United FC now have 35 points from 23 games and qualified for the playoffs for the first time after the 2020-21 season.
Alaaeddine Ajaraie was adjudged Key Performer of the match.
Next, NorthEast United FC will host East Bengal FC on March 8, whereas Chennaiyin FC will host Jamshedpur FC on March 9.
